After a month's long study of the continent of Africa, the MMS Main Campus joined for a presentation from the Adefua African Dance Troupe.
Our elementary students were inspired by artist, Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflower series. The students explored drawing using observation and it was amazing to see so many unique interpretations of the same subject.
Mrs. Winters Upper Elementary class worked with several mentors from the Monroe Gardening Club to create a garden.
In March, we welcomed back our Art Specialist program with Mrs. McCreary where our students will explore a variety of art media and techniques together.
In February many of the Kindergarten and Elementary students celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up as 100-year-olds and bringing in 100 items of their choice!
On Thursday, December 10th Ms. Lehan's Kindergarten class helped to walk down toys to the Sky Valley Food Bank to be distributed this holiday season to families in need.
Each MMS classroom created a unique card for the Monroe Police and Fire Departments showing our appreciation for all their hard work in our community!
This year our MMS families donated over 576 pounds of food to the Sky Valley Food Bank to be distributed this holiday season to families in need.
A former MMS alumni was recently accepted into Western Washington University for college.
The Upper Elementary classroom created over 100 beautiful cards to be distributed to Seniors at The Sky Valley Senior Center during a meal pick-up time.
